Pneumatic butterfly valves use compressed air as their power source. When compressed air enters the pneumatic actuator, it pushes the piston or gear rack and other components inside the actuator to move, which in turn drives the valve stem and butterfly plate to rotate, achieving the opening or closing of the valve. By installing a valve positioner, the rotation angle of the butterfly plate can also be controlled, thereby accurately adjusting parameters such as flow rate and pressure of the medium in the pipeline.
Powered by compressed air, the opening and closing time only takes a few seconds, far faster than manual or electric drives, ideal for emergency shutdowns.
Compatible with solenoid valves, positioners, and limit switches to connect easily to PLC and DCS systems for intelligent production.
Simple structure with a low failure rate. It eliminates complex explosion-proof protection needed for electric drives in hazardous zones.
